After receiving his masters degree in information technology from Erasmus University in Rotterdam, NL, Marc worked for 7 years as office automation manager at CIGNA Insurance at the Reganal office in Brussels responsible for Europe, Middle East and Africa following by a 6 years position as IT Manager, later as Sales Director at Tupperware Germany.

In 1997 he co founded InsuranceCity, one of the successful independent on line insurance brokers in Germany. At InsuranceCity he was nominated member of the executive board in charge of the Information Technology.

He joined Lifeware in March 2005 as Chief Information Officer for Germany
